The Lewis White Real Estate Center at UMKC Bloch Business School

“The Lewis White Real Estate Center is already enjoying great success in the Kansas City real estate community, and we look forward to the program’s growth over the next few years. Having local experts eager to participate in the coursework makes our curriculum more valuable, and the impact on our community is already evidenced by the fact that our students are being hired by new and existing real estate firms.”

Walter S. Clements, CCIM, MRCM, Center director

Study real estate in the heart of an urban laboratory
The Lewis White Real Estate Center (LWREC) at the Bloch School is the only comprehensive center for formal real estate education in the Kansas City area. Students study in a collaborative environment involving direct engagement with the real estate community to learn about the theoretical and applied aspects of real estate. The Center provides a strong hands-on learning experience in Kansas City’s own urban laboratory.

“UMKC stands firmly behind LWREC and we look forward to the continued involvement of faculty, staff, students, real estate professionals and the community in growing this important resource.”
-Gail Hackett, PhD, UMKC Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
